In its latest showcase, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers deepens its atmospheric worldbuilding and gritty, tactical combat. Developed by Leenzee and published by 505 Games, the dark fantasy action RPG is set to launch on July 24, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Set in the dying days of the Ming Dynasty, the trailer follows Bai Wuchang, a mysterious pirate warrior afflicted by “Feathering”—a disease that mutates the body and blurs the line between humanity and monstrosity. The new footage reveals sprawling ruined cities, eerie temples, and grotesque supernatural enemies, reinforcing the game’s haunting blend of historical China and folklore-driven horror.
Combat takes center stage in this trailer, spotlighting a variety of melee weapons, from curved blades to massive axes, each with distinct move sets and finishing attacks. Players can fluidly combine weapon strikes with over 40 customizable spells, adding depth and flair to every encounter. The showcase also highlights the Inner Demon system, where accumulated corruption can either empower the player—or spawn a dark version of Wuchang as a formidable foe.
The trailer teases boss battles against towering monstrosities, beautifully rendered in Unreal Engine 5, and glimpses of branching dialogue and choice-driven moments that hint at a layered narrative.
With its cinematic presentation, punishing combat, and rich mythological undertones, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers continues to position itself as one of the most ambitious new Soulslike experiences on the horizon.
